| A delicate staring competition |
Daniel Hardman’s back, as insinuated by the episode name. What
nefarious scheme has he cooked up now? He is charge of the Fulsome Foods case,
along with one concerning wrongful termination. The client is Monica who was
having an affair with Hardman at the time (remember?). This entire case would
be scrapped if that knowledge was known, but since Jessica signed a
confidentiality agreement, that won’t be happening.
Hardman intends to sue for
$10 mil. ruining the firm and taking away their credibility away in the Fulsome
Foods case as both involve gender discrimination. The uncertainty Hardman’s
planted along with the cloud of doom shadowing Pearson Hardman have really
begun to show Jessica’s and Harvey’s true colors, defying the cool heroic look
they have kept for so long.
Even after pleading with Zane, Jessica is still stuck with the
suit and Hardman and all seems to go wrong, but this whole firm collapsing
gimmick was used in episode 12. You know in your head everything will be OK,
and all you have to do is wait, sort of.
Mike the Boy Wonder visits Monica and tells her if she decides to
go through with the suit, the firm would be devastated and the women in the
Fulsome Foods cases wouldn’t receive justice. This seems to touch her
personally, but we as viewers are not sure if that works or not. With two
failed depositions and the firm on the line, this may be their only hope. Of
course that won’t be revealed until the next episode, but if it’s any
consolation Hardman’s name will be taken down from the wall. Will there be a
Pearson Spectre? There better be, because that just sounds awesome.
